La Bellone présente 2 parties d’un projet en 3 capsules. À travers le personnage de l’artiste transsexuelle kurde Esmeray, Laurent Thurin-Nal et Güldem Durmaz croisent leurs regards sur les rapports entre apparence extérieure et image de soi. Ben / O (moi/lui) : un film/ installation de Güldem Durmaz. Sorte d’expérience d’auto-filature, où Esmeray est filmée déambulant dans la nuit d’Istanbul, puis refilmée sur les mêmes trajets dans le costume de l’homme qu’elle était il y a vingt ans. Un split screen comme exploration d’une split personality. Yalnız / Seul : travail photographique de Laurent Thurin-Nal. Montage de photographies, de sons, et de textes explorant la solitude comme voyage intérieur. La troisième partie (performance) Cadının Bohçası / Le Panier de la Sorcière d’Esmeray est à voir aux Halles dans le cadre du festival Trouble #7, les 29 et 30 avril.

Esmeray x 3 est produit par Yakamoz, avec l’aide du Ministère de la Communauté française (film expérimental et projets pluridisciplinaires), des Halles et de La Bellone. Moi / Lui est produit avec l’aide du Centre du Cinéma et de l’Audiovisuel de la Communauté française de Belgique, et des télédistributeurs wallons.

Vernissage le 18 avril de 18:00 à 21:00. Fermé dimanche 24 et lundi 25 avril. Entrée libre.

La Bellone presents 2 parts of one project in 3 capsules. Through the character of the Kurdish transsexual artist Esmeray, Laurent Thurin-Nal and Güldem Durmaz focus on the relationship between appearance and self image. Moi / Lui : a film / installation by Güldem Durmaz. Filmed like a pursuit, Esmeray is filmed strolling at night in Istanbul, then filmed again on the same parcours in the suit of the man she was twenty years ago. A split screen as an exploration of a split personality. Yalnız / Seul : photographic work of Laurent Thurin-Nal. A montage of photographs, sounds and texts exploring solitude as inner journey. The third part (performance) Cadının Bohçası / Le Panier de la Sorcière by Esmeray will be presented in the Halles during the festival Trouble # 7.
